Crocheted slippers for the navy??

Alas it is finished, the most recent of my crochet projects. Navy themed crocheted slippers. I had a hard time figuring out which was navy in the store. There was close-to-black navy which looks black when placed next to white, but looks navy when placed next to black; then there was navy which was closer to dark blue, and navy which was closer to cyan. When I asked my friend who was with me at that time which  navy to choose from, he said "I'm colour blind---to certain colours". Well, that just shows the variety of navy that store has. Apart from the colour to consider, there was also the weight and price factor, not to mention the meterage factor. Anyway, I ended up buying Shepherd Very Crafty 8ply 100% Pure New Wool with a meterage of 191m, waaaayyy less than the usual wool I use for making slippers. But now I know how much of wool I need to make a pair of slippers. Ah..something new to learn in each crochet project.
